Champagne taste.
Tap-water budget.
Broke But Fancy hunts the aesthetic, expensive-looking Amazon finds that make your whole life read “curated” — for prices your bank account actually survives. Same taste as the designer aisle. None of the designer damage.

Broke But Fancy started the way all great financial decisions do: broke, online at 2am, and absolutely convinced we deserved nicer things. We couldn’t afford the designer version — but we could afford the one that looks like it, ships with Prime, and arrives before the buyer’s remorse does.
So we made a whole thing out of it. Broke But Fancy is the friend with a suspiciously good apartment who, when you ask “wait, how much was that?”, grins and says “less than you’d think.” We comb Amazon for the aesthetic, expensive-looking stuff across six vibes — tech, home, desk, self-care, kitchen, gifting — and only pass along the pieces that survive the vibe check.
What we actually do
We doom-scroll so you don’t
Hours of reviews, dupe-hunting and “is this drop-shipped garbage?” forensics, distilled into short, honest round-ups.
We keep it honest
We only recommend things we’d genuinely buy or already own. Real pros and cons, no fake stars, no prices dressed up as deals.
We keep it broke
Every pick is chosen for maximum “how is that not expensive?” energy — designer looks on a drugstore-snack budget.
How we stay (barely) funded
Broke But Fancy is an Amazon Associate. When you buy through our links we earn a small commission — same price for you, slightly less broke for us. It never changes what we recommend. Fine print lives on our affiliate disclosure and editorial policy.
